Participation in EMO 2027
The European Mathematical Olympiad (EMO) is an international mathematics competition for students representing European countries. The competition consists of two papers taken on two consecutive days. Participation in EMO 2027 is by invitation only and is limited to European countries. Each invited country may send an official delegation consisting of up to six contestants, one Team Leader, and one Deputy Leader. Contestants should normally be citizens or long-term residents of the country they represent and should be selected through that country’s national mathematical competition or an equivalent national selection programme.
Information about the selection process in a particular country may be obtained from the relevant national mathematical organisation or from the country’s official EMO representatives. The countries that participated in EMO 2026 can be found at: https://emo2026.lt/teams. Contestants must meet the age and educational eligibility requirements established in the official EMO Regulations for the year of participation. Contestants must normally be enrolled in full-time primary or secondary education during the academic year preceding EMO 2027.
