About EMO 2027
The European Mathematical Olympiad (EMO) is an international mathematics competition designed for talented high school students from European countries whose interest, dedication, and achievement in mathematics extend beyond the standard school curriculum.
The inaugural European Mathematical Olympiad was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, and was co-hosted by Lithuania and Ukraine. The next edition, EMO 2027, will take place in Prishtina, Kosovo, from 23 to 29 April 2027.
EMO 2027 will be organized by the Institute of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), in partnership with the Kosovar Mathematical Society and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
The EGMO promotes young scientists, increases the proportion of female students in IMO teams, supports the social, cultural and interdisciplinary exchange between teenagers from all over the world.
The EMO aims to bring together talented young mathematicians from across Europe, provide them with a high-level international competition, and strengthen their preparation for the International Mathematical Olympiad. It also promotes academic excellence, friendship, cultural exchange, and cooperation among students and mathematics communities throughout Europe. With Kosovo’s warm hospitality, rich cultural heritage, and the strong support of our partner institutions, we are committed to making EMO 2027 an inspiring, professionally organized, and unforgettable experience for all participating delegations.
